South Choctaw Academy completed the 2016 season with a 8-3 record. With their 4-2 region record and a third place finish in Class A region two, the Rebels earned a spot in the playoffs in 2016. South Choctaw Academy's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Abbeville Christian by a score of 41-26. The Eagles lost in the first round of the Class AA playoffs to Lakeside by a score of 42-35. South Choctaw Academy and Jackson Academy have met a total of 51 times on the football field. The Rebels have a 26-25-0 record against the Eagles.
